I have a 1968 383 motor, the pad under the distributer says: D 383
                                                                                                                88
                                                                                                                R
I understand this means ist a 1968 383 intended for Regular fuel. but I don't understand the number 88.

The underside of the engine near the strater/oilpan has the number PT383R22020294
I understand this mean it was made in trenton, and should use Regular fuel, but what date is 2202 and 0294?

Any help would be appriciated.
Thanks

The Challenger will come stock with the 3.5l V6. R/T will be the 5.7l Hemi, and then they have developed a 6.4l Hemi for it which i believe is going to replace the 6.1l as the SRT8 engine.

And in regards to MPG its going to be the same as the Chargers.

I recently bought a new crated engine that has a casting # 4104230-318-4. THE SERIAL# is 3M318 0720xxxx. Can anyone tell me exactly what this engine was built for?

Haven’t owned a Challenger sense my first one in 1970, which I purchased off the show room floor in Manteca, California. It was lime green w/black stripes, powered with a 440 six-pack. Sticker price was $4,200.00, my mother jewed them down to $3,750.00. It was a great ride for an 18 year old in his senior year of high school. The 2008-9 is a remarkable look-a-like. I want a convertible this time around.

9 miles per gallon is about 50 cents a mile because you know you will have to put high test in it.. High test where I am is almost 4.50 per gallon ( 93 octane ) So you will look cool to the grocery store and back... for 46k!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reliant K........ thats all I have to say

I have a stock 2004 Mustang Cobra that I paid 20k for. It does the 1/4mile well under 12.8 sec & 0-60 times less than 4.5 sec... You are going to pay 46k for this Dodge that doesnt even have a manual trainy? weird... and lets get real here... You will be stepping on it.. expect avergege mpg to be under 9 miles.. Its a Chrystler..... remember they made the reliant K??? Yes ford had the pinto but that thing is a collectors item...

The fucking " K " car!!!!!!!!!! Get real people Chrystler sucks.. I had a 98 Ram and the transfer case went after 15k miles... 4 grand!

Again think " K " car when you go to write a check for 46k
